Chucky the hen was in the barn sitting on her egg . She sighed to herself. "sitting on eggs is boring,"she thought.

Then Dotty the duck waddled passt.
"i'm going to the pond to swim,"said Dotty. "come along!"
"okay!"said chucky
at the pond,dotty swam in circles."this is fun!"she said.
"now or never,"thought chucky . she jumped in . it was freezing ! it was wet! there was slimy green duckweed everywhere! swimming pond . they have warm,waterproof feathers and webbed feet and they like slimy green duckweed everywhere!
hens are not designed for swimming on pond.
chucky coughed and spluttered and flapped her wings.
Finally she managed to scramble out of the pond.
"I'm going home,"she shivered.
Chucky sat on her egg . the barn was lovely warm.
"now this is fun .
